Madine trains with squad
Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that former-Blues striker Gary Madine is training with the club on a day-by-day basis.
Madine, 23, came through the youth ranks to earn a professional contract with the Cumbrians and left to join Sheffield Wednesday in 2011.
The forward, who has scored over 20 goals in just under 100 appearances for The Owls, contacted the club this week and will train at Brunton Park as and when the schedule allows.
“I had a chat with Dave Jones and he is delighted that we are able to help,” caretaker manager Graham Kavanagh said. “We know Gary and he knows us, and he is obviously feeling very low at the moment.
“We have no problem at all in helping him to stay fit. He has trained with us and he has worked exceptionally hard, and we’ll continue to allow that to happen as long as it works for all parties.”
