Stanley sink United in a tight game
United battled hard but Accrington took their chances and it is Stanley who go through to round two of this season's FA Youth Cup with the young Cumbrians left to lick their wounds following an entertaining game of football.
2 mins - Hazeldine picked up on a flick from Hudson and opted to shoot early. He struck it early but it flew over the bar.
4 mins - Barker found space at a corner but he rushed his volley and smashed it over the bar.
11 mins - Goulding picked a lovely pass for Hazeldine but he shot early and dragged it wide of the upright.
15 mins - Brough, Marshall and Hodgson all deliver in quick succession but a combination of good keeping and bad finishing leaves the home goal untroubled.
19 mins - The best chance of the opening 20 minutes came when Mahoney dropped a shoulder and spun into space. His shot flew past Brass but ricocheted away to safety off the woodwork.
21 mins - Downey felled Brough on the edge of the area and the referee took everyone by surprise when he pointed at the spot. Danny Hodgson made no mistake with a lovely spot kick finish.
26 mins - Hodgson found space and he didn't need to be asked twice as he let fly with a thundering drive. Wolland was relieved to see it whisk past his post.
30 mins - Hammell was next to test the keeper as he drilled one through a ruck of bodies from distance. Wolland held his ground and beat the shot away.
32 mins - A cross from the left was flicked on by Hazeldine and Dalian Barker pulled the scores level with a nice finish at the back post.
38 mins - Hazeldine was clipped as he ran into the area but the referee waved the loud penalty appeals away.
42 mins - Stanley took the lead when Max Hazeldine rose highest to nod a Mahoney corner into the back of the net.
46 to 52 mins - Brough, Hodgson and Marshall send testing deliveries into the area but the killer touch evades the United attack.
53 mins - Connor Hammell went close with a crisp shot from 24 yards which rose just over the bar.
58 mins - Patrick Brough did everything right as he controlled the ball before putting his boot through a fantastic effort. It smacked against the underside of the bar and somehow stayed out of the net.
61 mins - Brough worked hard out wide and swung a lovely ball to the near post. Hodgson arrived just in time to poke a great chance over from very close range.
62 mins - Barker did well to shield the ball before bringing the best out of Brass in the Carlisle goal.
63 mins - Wolland adjusted his feet to get just enough of a hand to a dipping Hodgson effort which was destined for the top corner.
64 mins - Hodgson moved off his marker to get to a corner from White but he popped his header inches past the post with the keeper well beaten.
67 mins - Hazeldine beat the offside trap only to curl a harmless effort wide.
69 mins - Frustration started to mount as Brough did the hard work to shrug off close attentions before heading wide from another Marshall delivery.
74 mins - Tom White woumd a way through from the right flank but Wolland was relieved to see the ball go behind for a goal kick as he mistimed his dive.
75 mins - Brass raced off his line to stop Steenson in his tracks as he beat the offside trap.
77 mins - Danny Hodgson spotted Wolland off his line but he couldn't keep his attempted lob down.
86 mins - Steenson released Hazeldine on the right flank and Connor Mahoney made it to the right place at the right time to put the tie beyond doubt with an emphatic finish.
87 mins - Connor Hammell shot straight from the restart and it brought applause from the crowd as it bounced back off the post.
89 mins - Carlisle threw everyone forward but their evening was summed up when Patrick Brough beat the keeper ... but not the woodwork. Yet again the loose ball was hooked away.
