Eccleston loan spell ends
Striker Nathan Eccleston has today returned to parent club Blackpool on completion of his one-month loan spell at Brunton Park.
Eccleston, 22, joined the Cumbrians at the beginning of October and made three appearances, including a start in the dramatic Johnstone’s Paint Trophy penalty shoot-out victory over Morecambe at the Globe Arena.
Manager Graham Kavanagh said: “With the results we were getting during the period of his loan it was difficult to get him into the team in the position we would have liked.
“He is a great lad who came here and worked extremely hard in training and in the games he was involved with. He’s a good player and we wish well with his career as he goes on from here.”
