Brentford await round one winners
Carlisle United or Boreham Wood will face League One side Brentford in a home tie in round two of this season's FA Cup competition.Second round ties are scheduled to be played over the weekend of 6/7/8 December.
Replay details for Carlisle United and Boreham Wood, for the right to progress to this fixture, are still be finalised - details to follow soon.
"All you ever hope for from any cup competition is a home draw," manager Graham Kavanagh said this afternoon. "Brentford are a strong side, as we saw back in August, so it's one to look forward to, if we can get there.
"We have some important fixtures coming up however, not least the replay against Boreham Wood. We've already seen that they do have quality and determination so we won't be taking anything for granted at all. We have to do that one properly or the draw for the second round will mean absolutely nothing to us at all."
Both clubs have recent history with the Bees with United bringing a point back from London following a 0-0 draw at the end of August. The teams also met at Wembley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final in 2011 with Carlisle victorious courtesy of a 1-0 victory.
Boreham Wood entertained Brentford in a pre-season friendly fixture which they lost by 1-3 having been knocked out of the FA Cup by the Bees at this stage last season in what was a thrilling 0-2 reverse.
