Young side to close the season off
The United U18 side play their final game of the season on Saturday morning when they play host to the Cumberland U18 side at Creighton Rugby Club, kick off 11am.
"We've finished the season off this way for the last three years and it's something which works well for both organisations," coach Eric Kinder said.
"It's usually a good, competitive game and it gives me a chance to use the squad we'll have going into next season.
"That means the first years, as were, will play their first game as the out-and-out senior players in the group and the new arrivals will get a chance to see where they fit into the set-up.
"It's one for us to look forward to before we send them away for their summer break. We've spoken to them already about that because it's important they understand that they have to treat these next few weeks properly.
"They have to come back fit and ready to work hard from day one. It's no good them coming to us expecting to have time to get fit. If that happens they'll fall behind."
