COMMUNITY: Disabled coaching session

Disabled coaching course is a hit

12 local coaches attended our Coaching Disabled Footballers Course last week at the Sheepmount, Carlisle; delivered by FA Tutor Lindsey Robinson from the North East.

The course is designed for local Level 1 Coaches to gain an insight into disability football coaching.

The course helps to give football coaches ideas and practices for the inclusion of disabled players in football sessions, whether in mainstream or impairment specific environments.

Disability Football Development Officer, Jess Lawson said, "I was very impressed with the coaches who attended the course, they all took away a lot of new ideas and knowledge around disability football. It was a fantastic opportunity to discuss local disability football too, including what volunteering and coaching opportunities are available in our current disability programmes."
