Cumberland sponsor Community Scheme
Carlisle United Football Club are delighted to announce that the Cumberland Building Society is to be the new sponsor of Brunton Park's A-stand, which has been re-named the Cumberland Community Stand.
The sponsorship commences prior to the new season, which starts with a home game against Leyton Orient on 3 August, and will run in conjunction with the schools and community programme which provides free tickets for primary schools and community groups to every home game.
The sponsorship deal sees the Cumberland Building Society cement its long-standing partnership with the Blues, having previously sponsored the East Stand and a number of other initiatives in and around the stadium.
“We would like to say thank you to the Cumberland Building Society for their continuing support for the club and we are delighted that they have chosen to pick up again with the good work they were doing with the schools and community programme,” commercial director Dick Young said.
“The Cumberland is a successful and respected local brand that has supported the club for many years. We are proud to further consolidate our partnership with this new agreement and look forward to enjoying many successful years ahead.”
Andrew Gordon, head of sales at the Cumberland, said: “We are delighted to extend our support for the club with this new sponsorship deal, which will allow both ourselves and the club to strengthen our relationships with the local community.
“By sponsoring the Schools and Community Programme, we are able to provide hundreds of free tickets to local primary schools and community groups in the area and help the club to develop its next generation of fans.”
Tickets for Carlisle United home games continue to be available from the Cumberland's match ticket pod at the Fisher Street branch in Carlisle.
