INJURY: Weekend injury update

Latest from the treatment room

United Physio Neil Dalton gave us his latest update from the treatment room as we head into a Saturday with no football due to the current run of interesting weather.

Mike Edwards is a couple of weeks down the road since the hamstring injury he picked up at Swindon. He is progressing nicely with strengthening and CV work in the gym. If he continues as he is then we should be able to get him outside this coming week to do some light running work. At the moment it is all going nice and smoothly for him and hopefully it will continue that way.

Peter Murphy is progressing well from the calf injury he picked up during training. He has also been doing strength and CV work in the gym, and we have also started to do a very light walk/jog programme with him outside. We will look to build that up this week with a view to having him back in training the week after that.

Brad Staunch picked up a groin strain but he is doing everything that is being asked of him at the moment. He should be back in training next week if things continue as they are.

Evan McEvoy sprained a ligament in his knee and we are building that up at the moment. We will keep working on that with a view to getting him back into training in a few weeks time.
