Event to be held in memory of local lad
We are delighted to announce a fantastic evening of entertainment ahead of the Peterborough United home game at the end of this month when the Posh director of football Barry Fry comes to The Venue, in Portland Place, right here in Carlisle - Saturday 28 December 2013.
And in what is a fantastic move from the organisers, all funds raised from the event - held in memory of local footballer Kevin Robson - will be donated to Carlisle United Football Club.
"This really is a wonderful gesture and we would like to thank everyone involved," assistant managing director Suzanne Kidd said. "We have already earmarked the money to help with repairs to the Neil Sports Centre.
"The Centre is used by large numbers of boys, girls and adults from across the local community and we feel this will be the best use of any funds raised. We would also like to place a plaque to commemorate Kevin and the donation as soon as the work has been carried out."
The main focus of the evening will be an audience with the charismatic and entertaining Barry Fry, who will be supported by comedian and event host John Styles throughout, and guests can also enjoy an accompanying meal of curry, rice, naan bread, pickles and poppadoms.
A table of ten is priced at just £250 (£25 per person) - for more information, or to book your place at this not to be missed evening of entertainment, contact Colin Carter on 07737 265 831 or Carol Milnes on 07714 211 135.
