Striker Danny Hodgson scored an excellent first-half free-kick to earn United an opening day win in what was a good game to watch.
"The lads worked really hard and played well," youth boss Davie Irons said. "Wrexham had their spells but we stuck to our task and it was just about the right result on full-time."
