Robins defender joins Blues
Carlisle United have today signed defender Troy Archibald-Henville on a one-month loan deal which keeps him at Brunton Park until the end of September.
Archibald-Henville, 24, started his career as a trainee with Spurs and had loan spells with Norwich City and Exeter City during his time with the north-London club.
His double loan stay with Grecians earned him a permanent move in 2010 and he made over 100 appearances at the other St James’s Park before joining Swindon on a two-year deal last summer.
“Troy is a big defender who has experience at this level,” manager Greg Abbott said. “He’s tough and he can play a bit of football, and he joins us at a time when we need a bit of cover in that area.
“He’s another who is versatile and, as with all moves like this, it’s one which should benefit all parties concerned.”
This move remains subject to the completion and clearance of all necessary paperwork.
Availability for tomorrow's game against Brentford is also subject to the completion of all paperwork.
