LADIES: Dumfries 0 - 4 United

Ladies get their pre-season campaign off to a flyer

The Ladies made the short trip to Dumfries to get their pre-season campaign off to a fine start with a comfortable and confident 4-0 victory.

The home side are currently in the middle of their season, as the Scottish League runs through the summer months, however it was United who made the most of the early exchanges by taking the lead on 7 minutes through Chelsie Browbank.

United have worked hard on their fitness throughout pre-season to date and the lead was doubled after 30 minutes when Browbank set up Sharina Robinson who neatly finished. The home side had their best chance just before half time but Lisa Galloway's effort was saved.

The second half saw the hosts make a number of changes and United capitilised after 65 minutes with the goal of the game which was a 30 yard effort from Kerri Mallinson

United continued to press and Browbank added the fourth goal late in the game. The hosts hit the bar with 5 minutes to go however United managed to keep a clean sheet and get their pre-season campaign off to a good start at Kingsholm Park.
