Please stay off the pitch this weekend
Carlisle United Football Club are today issuing an appeal to all fans, home and away, to stay off the multi-award winning playing surface when the full-time whistle is blown on Saturday.
Win, lose or draw it is intended that the players and playing staff will come out to thank the supporters for their efforts as soon as the post-match team talk has been completed, but this will not take place if fans have encroached on the playing area.
We would also like to offer the Colchester United fans the opportunity to applaud their team at the end of what has been a long season and following their long journey north for what is a huge game for everyone connected with the U’s.
In addition, we are in the fantastic position where the pitch is still in the reckoning for further awards, in particular the overall title of 'League One Pitch of the Year' and the Stadium Business Award for 'Unsung Hero,' and we seek your assistance in keeping it in as good a condition as possible ahead of the final judging process.
Please, help us to keep Brunton Park at the highest of standards and stay off the pitch on Saturday.
Fans are reminded that it is an offence to encroach on the playing surface at any time and that action may be taken against any individual who is found to be in breach of this regulation.
