CUMB CUP: Final details

Details for the final of the Cumberland Cup

Carlisle United play Whitehaven Amateurs in the Cumberland Cup final on Tuesday night at Brunton Park (kick off 7pm).

Prices for the match are £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.

United coach Eric Kinder said: "We just want to go out there and win it.

"The intention is for us to play a young side with some experience in key areas.

"We saw against Penrith that we can't take anything for granted. Whitehaven will come here really up for it because it's a massive game for them.

"Our job will be to try and wear them down in the first half. Our fitness levels and ability should eventually allow us to get on top, but we fully expect them to fly at us in the first 15 minutes."

"Stuart [Green] will have them up for it because he's a former player and he'll want to do well," he continued. "Danny Hodgson is playing against us, he'll be coming into our youth team next season, so he'll want to do well too.

"If we play like we did in the first half against Penrith we'll struggle, so we need to make sure we play well from the first minute.

"It's a competition we want to win and that's the message we'll give to the lads before they leave the dressing room."
