Contract signing reaction
We took the opportunity to sit down with Mark Beck, Brad Potts and Dave Symington on Monday afternoon shortly after they had put pen-to-paper on three year deals which keep them at Brunton Park until 30 June 2015."I'm absolutely buzzing," Brad Potts said. "It's just great to have this signed and sorted out. To be honest, the gaffer spoke to me a couple of weeks ago to let me know he was thinking about doing something, but it's come as a surprise for it to happen like this.
"The gaffer told me he wants me to try and push hard to make a starting place mine so hopefully I'll be able to do that. I just want to play as many games as possible and see where that takes me.
"It's a nice feeling to have this security because it means we don't have to worry about what will happen at the end of this season. It's a case of playing as well as we can now to justify the faith the club has put into us."
"I'm over the moon with it all," Dave Symington added. "I only found out today that the manager was thinking about doing this and it's just amazing.
"We were called into his office and he sat us all down, and he had three folders in front of him. He asked what we thought they were and we didn't have a clue. When he opened them up to show us the contracts it was an amazing feeling.
"When I signed the one-year contract at the end of last season I never imagined this would happen in a million years. We never expected it but it shows the hard work we have all done has paid off.
"I have to go for a regular place in the first team now. I'm going to try and keep it going the way it has been and keep myself in the manager's thoughts."
"I'm the same as the other two lads, I'm just buzzing about all this," Mark Beck told us. "There's a bit of shock in there as well at the moment because it is unexpected. I wasn't sure why we were being called into the office but I don't think it will ever get any better than this.
"All I've done is made sure I've done everything that has been asked of me. I don't really think about anything other than the next game and trying to do as well as I can. Everything else will take care of itself if I'm playing well for the team.
"He has told all of us that the hard work can't stop just because this has happened. He wants us to really push on and use this as a starting block. It's a huge boost for the confidence to know the gaffer believes in us enough to do this and it's important to us all that we don't let him down now.
"I don't think there was any hesitation from any of us when it came to signing the contracts. It's a really good club and a good place to be. It's already been said, but hopefully we will repay the faith that's been shown in us by reproducing the goods out on the pitch."
