Jervis returns to parent club
Striker Jake Jervis has returned to parent club Birmingham City following a month long loan spell at Brunton Park.Jervis, 20, teamed up with Carlisle at the end of August and scored three goals in six games with his last appearance being in the 0-0 draw with Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night.
Manager Greg Abbott said: "Jake is a really nice lad and this wasn't an easy decision to make.
"He came in and worked hard and we think he listened to the things we had to say. He showed everybody what he could with his goals and if he keeps picking things up and learning in this way as he goes along then he's going to be a very good player.
"The arrival of Joe [Garner] and Kallum [Higginbotham], along with the players we already have in the squad, would make it difficult to guarantee him pitch time as we go forward from here. We had a chat with him to explain the situation on Friday afternoon and we agreed that he could go back to Birmingham rather than travel with the squad today.
"He is genuinely a really nice person and we wish him all the very best."
