The gaffer ahead of Notts County
United manager Greg Abbott spoke to us ahead of the visit of Notts County on Saturday. He said: "We're on a bit of a decent run at the moment in the league and we've only lost one out of the five or six games we've played.
"We were a bit upset with the Crawley result because it dented that form and it was a game we felt we probably should have won.
"If we can do Saturday properly and get a result in the Bury game then we'll be well and truly in the top six or seven. Things are looking good for us and we've worked exceptionally hard to get to this position.
"The last home game felt a little bit of a strange atmosphere after the 12,000 we had down here for the Tottenham game. It dropped to just over 4,000 and that does have an affect on the team. It was bouncing on the Wednesday night and not quite so bouncing on the Saturday.
"This is a game which is interesting for a few reasons. Notts County are a very good side, they'll bring a fair few fans with them and obviously Francois Zoko is coming back. It should create a good atmosphere and it'll be one where you do get that vocal backing from the crowd.
"We've got Mike Edwards here now, of course, but there's not much I don't know about Notts County anyway. There are obvious threats but hopefully we will do enough to nullify them.
"They're very strong and powerful and we'll have to deal with that. But I think we're just starting to get used to our system now, Joe [Garner] is getting stronger and Danny Cadamarteri has been really consistent for us. We're definitely getting there.
"The thing with Francois coming back is that you don't know what you're going to get so you don't know how to deal with him. He is consistently inconsistent and all we can hope for is that he isn't on song. If he is then he is one of the best in this league. He is an absolute talent and I think everybody here enjoyed him.
"Like I say, it should be a good game for a number of reasons and it's one we want to do right so that we can keep the momentum going in the right direction."
