A game to look forward to
United manager Greg Abbott spoke to us about the Bury away game on Tuesday night. He said: "We're obviously disappointed with the result on Saturday because we felt we did enough to get something from it.
"We've looked again at the number of chances we created and we'll have games this season where we create less and win. It comes down to the fact that you have to put them away or you can find yourself getting punished, so that's a lesson for us to take away from the weekend.
"Bury have a new manager and they picked up a really good point at Stevenage, so they will be on a high. They'll be looking to play well for Kevin [Blackwell] and I'm sure they'll want to get their first win under their belts in front of their own crowd.
"We have been playing some good football though and we go there in confident mood. We had a similar situation at Coventry, where there was a new manager in place, and I thought we handled that really well.
"It's definitely a game for us to look forward to. We obviously want the points to keep us up in the top half of the table as we go into what are two difficult away games and, like I say, Bury will want the points for their own reasons.
"It will come down to who does things properly on the night, but that doesn't change. We know that if we play the way we can, and create anywhere near the number of chances we created on Saturday, then we will give ourselves a real chance."
