Garner set to stay with the Blues
Watford striker Joe Garner is set to extend his stay with Carlisle United for a third month following a successful two-month stay with the club. The clubs have agreed terms to the extension with all paperwork expected to be finalised by 5pm this evening.
Garner, 24, returned to Cumbria midway through September and has scored seven goals in his 17 appearances so far.
Manager Greg Abbott said: "Joe [Garner] has done a good job for us and we know exactly what we're going to get.
"He causes problems and he's brave, and he has got us some really important goals. We think he still has more to show because he's getting better as he spends more time out on the pitch.
"He's getting games and he's enjoying himself up here, and we think this has been a move which has been of benefit to all concerned."
We'll have reaction to the loan extension from Joe Garner, on finalisation of the deal, later today.
This loan deal will run until midnight on Wednesday 19 December.
