Trio to join Kendal
U18 players Tom Berwick, Alex Salmon and Brad Staunch will join Evo-Stik Premier Division outfit Kendal Town on work experience at the end of this week.
The second-year trio have all been regulars for the U18 side this season and will join Steve Edmondson and his team ahead of the trip to Stafford Rangers at the weekend.
“We are really pleased to be able to help Kendal out in this way,” youth boss Eric Kinder said. “Steve has just come into the job and he’s doing everything he can to keep the club moving on.
“They asked if there was anything we could do to assist and I honestly think these three lads will do a job for them. We get on really well with Kendal, it's a great place for the club to open its pre-season campaign every year, and we know they'll treat the players well.
"It’s a youth loan so it means we can recall them whenever we need to, but it’s a good chance for our lads to get some competitive football at a really high standard over the Christmas period.
“I’ll get down there to see how they are doing as much as I can and I’m sure this will be of benefit to all concerned.”
