Mike Edwards on his league debut
We caught up with defender Mike Edwards shortly after the warm-down at the Lamex Stadium on Saturday evening to get his thoughts on the 1-1 draw with Stevenage.
He said: "I think overall we have to be pleased because this isn't an easy place to come.
"We've worked as a team and we've defended well, but obviously we are going to be a little bit gutted that we conceded after getting ourselves in front.
"However, there are plenty of positives for us from the first two games of the season and we can look forward to moving things on from here, starting with the Tranmere game on Tuesday night.
"It is a fairly new back line for the fans but we think we're working well together. I think Danny [Livesey] has the same style of defending as me. We like to get the job done and we try to make sure we win the first ball if we can.
"Late goals are always a bit of a blow but if we look at the game as a whole we're going to come away happy. We've got ourselves off and running and there's a good opportunity to add to it on Tuesday. They are all difficult games but I think we're seeing that we're going to be going out there to give anyone a game this season.
"I think I have settled now and that's down to the players and the fans. They've all been magnificent with me and the supporters were here in numbers for us, and that's what they do. Hopefully we'll keep giving them things to shout about."
