Former Preston defender Jack Armer initially joined the Blues on a one-year deal in August 2020.
An impressive first season earned him a new two-year deal in May 2021, which kept him with the Cumbrians until the summer of 2023.
He was offered and accepted a further three-year contract at that point, having played his part in United’s promotion-winning success at Wembley.
He came through the ranks with his hometown club Preston, where he went on to captain the under-18 side.
Renowned for having a solid left foot, he has been utilised as a left-sided centre half and as a left back, and he enjoyed a fruitful loan spell with Lancaster where he earned a regular starting place in the team.
